AFRICA- A Place full Of Adventure
Traveling is a journey of a place. Traveling is an exciting opportunity for any person. So it is my first blog where I should connect the film with travel. It is an amazing experience for me to share the information with you. Travelling plays an important role in any film. Travel makes the film much more attractive. So I take a Bengali film and connect it with travel.
Chander Pahar is a 2013 Indian Bengali action – adventure film. It is based on novel “ Chander Pahar by Bengali novelist Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhya . Directed by “ kamalwshwar Mukherjee and produced by Mahendra Soni.
Chander Pahar is the story of a young man’s adventure in Africa. Shankar Roy Chowdhury, is a 20 yrs old man, recently completed his Arts graduation and about to take a job in a jute mill. He loves adventure, wild lands, forests and animals.
He always wants to follow the footsteps of famous explorers like Livingstone, Mungo Park, whom he has read in young days. By luck, he secures a job as a station master in Uganda Railway and goes to Africa. And now the question arises whether he come back to India or not “.
Chander Pahar was released as the Mountains Of The Moon in the United States. This movie had gained a huge success among the Bengali people. This film show the place of Africa by many shots like - mid- close- up of lion , close -up of African deadliest snake, Black Mamba. The film had feature a chase sequence with six African elephants. The most dangerous sequence was shot in kahalari desert in Africa.
Location of this shooting includes - Kruger National park, the mountains of Drakensberg, and desert of kahalari desert. The film ,shot primarily on South Africa location ,offer a plethora of gorgeous landspace and enough exotic animals to give adventurous episode of wild life.
In my opinion, it is a movie that represents the survival of a young man in South Africa . In this film, the protagonist Shankar ( Dev) gives his full affort to make the film real.
It represents that Africa is famous for diamond mines and other natural resources. Not only in India, we had found grassland, deserts and creatures, South Africa is a place to introduction of classic African scenery - golden Savannah, beautiful deserts, great gaping gorges as well as favourite African creatures.
Wildlife lovers come here from all corner of the globe in search of the " Big Five " - lion ,buffaloes, leapord, rihno, elephant and often we find it many more. Other attractions of south Africa - coral reefs, shark divest, dragon - backed mountains ranges, white - water rafting and golden beaches lapped by legendary surf breaks.
Gnarled camel thorn trees, red sands, golden grasslands and deep blue skies provide an amazing photos for photographers.
