A Trip to Changu
I cant go to a trip to the moon, So i visited ti the heavenly place where you can sit walk even ride between clouds and ice. A trip to Changu. As in already said you i cant afford a trip to moon so the trip was very budget friendly. Changu or Tsomogo Lake is a lake in sikkim, Almost 3,753 m above the sea level. It is situated in east side of the sikkim. Sikkim has a belt of east tourism in which Changu lake,Baba Harbhajan Mandir and Nathula Pass comes under it. To visit sikkim,one has to get down at silliguri and take a travel agent help or hire a shared taxi or bus. The transport service charges you 250-400 INR for one side go to Sikkim. For Changu Lake and Nathula Pass trip one has to submit the document one day before the trip for verification of identity. Its better to take up a travel agent,since they have sources who get it done before the day of you are planning for the trip. After you take vehicle from silliguri,You start your journey through the beautiful beds of hills covered with green vegetation. You come across the beautiful teetsa river which flows from Sikkim to lower Bengal. River Teesta has got its many form and you can experience it in your way,sometimes its narrow as a stream and sometimes wide as a football ground, and sometimes ferocious with waves in it. The temperature slowly gets lower you go more upward. You will be dropped at gangtok and the day after you reach,you can take your trip to Changu Lake.
Firstly the day of journey you have to reach the Changu Taxi stand by 8.30 am,so that you cross the verification point by 9.30 am or else you wont be allowed to eneter after 9.30 am. Since you cant return back same day completing the journey. After verification you start your trip to Changu Lake and Nathula pass, The whole way is covered with scenic beauty and snow, there are even stoppages for eateries and toilets in the way. The temperature lowers down at a high rate when you go up but the scenic beauty is breath taking and you feel so good out there,that just cant be explained in words.
